For much of the first quarter, the game was nip and tuck, with neither side managing to establish the upper hand. However, AVIS Rapla finished the first half stronger, carrying a 37-33 lead into the halftime break.
After Domagoj Bubalo’s jumper, the hosts had increased the gap to nine points early in the third quarter, but TLU Kalev did not allow it to get out of hand, staying within striking distance.
The visitors had cut the deficit to a single point in the final frame, but AVIS Rapla shot ahead once again and closed out the game by ending TLU Kalev’s two game winning streak.
Devin Brooks led the winners with 18 points, four rebounds and four assists, Bubalo added 14 points, eight boards and four steals, while Indrek Kajupank chipped in with 12 points.
For TLU Kalev, Johnny Berhanemeskel had a team-high 15 points, with Zachary Atkinson and Thomas Droney collecting 13 and 12 points respectively.
