The Lithuanians clearly got off on the right foot and started the quarter 26-7, giving themselves an insurmountable advantage not even ten minutes into the game. While Barsy finally got their baskets to fall, defense was still an issue, and they entered halftime down by 26, 57-31.
The margin only grew after the break, and Barsy once again found themselves gasping for points. Meanwhile Pieno zvaigzdes just cruised away to a 45-point advantage three quarters into the game.
There were no miracle turnarounds in the game and Pieno zvaigzdes tabbed another enormous victory.
Ignas Fiodorovas had a hot hand today and led his team in scoring with 18 points, while Nikita Balashov was right behind him with 17. Veteran Steponas Babrauskas chipped in with a healthy 16 points, while Arturs Ausejs ended up scoring 15. Three more players got into double-digit scoring as well.
For the Kazakhs, it was the duo of Pavel Ilin and Nened Milosevic taking care of most of the scoring, as they had 15 points apiece.
