After a wobbly start to the season, the 20-year old Lithuanian has picked the pace up and finished the year with some MVP-worthy performances and four-of-four wins for his club.
Birutis averaged 16.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 blocks per game, as Siauliai put up a four game winning streak.
He started the month with a 22-point, 9-rebound, 3-block performance against Rapla, as his team went on to break the two-game losing slump. Birutis followed that up with another great performance the very next day, tallying 15 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 assists.
The young man had a quieter performance against Liepaja, but showed up when it mattered most, putting up 21 points and 6 rebounds against Lithuanian rivals and defending BBL Champions Vytautas.
The award will be handed out during Siauliai's next home game on the 11th of January, when the Lithuanians face Tsmoki-Minsk.
