The team from Panevezys started the game strong and went up 26-15 after the first quarter, with their advantage growing to 36-19 in the second period. However, TLU Kalev did not panic and finished the first half with a 13-2 run to cut the deficit to six points.
Lietkabelis remained in front, but the Estonians got within striking distance in the third quarter, putting pressure on the visitors. Three minutes into the final period, TLU Kalev were down only 57-60, but the guests scored 13 points in a row to answer all remaining questions.
Arturas Valeika was the game’s leading scorer with 12 points and six rebounds for Lietkabelis. Valdas Vasylius and Arnas Labuckas collected 11 points apiece.
Johnny Barhanemeskel had a team-high 12 points for TLU Kalev, Reimo Tamm scored 11 while, Kaido Saks had 10.
