Ogre blast past Barsy

OGRE - After opening the season with a victory, Barsy Atyrau have now lost their last six games, with the most recent L coming against Ogre, where they were forced to face a 60-90 defeat.

The Latvians got off to a better start in the game, running up ahead 14-7 mid-way through the first quarter. Marcis Vitols' three three-pointers had the hosts in front, but it was just a 4-point game after 10 minutes of basketball, nevertheless.

The second quarter was absolutely disastrous for Barsy, as they had nearly as many turnovers (7), as points (8). Meanwhile, Ogre lit it up and enhanced their lead to 17 before the break.

John Taylor was a force on offense for Barsy. The American was allowed to shoot at will and ended up putting up 17 shots from the floor, adding it up to 27 points. Both Pavel Ilin and Da'Quan Cook had 10 points, while the latter added another 10 rebounds to the tally.
