The Latvians got off to a better start in the game, running up ahead 14-7 mid-way through the first quarter. Marcis Vitols' three three-pointers had the hosts in front, but it was just a 4-point game after 10 minutes of basketball, nevertheless.
The second quarter was absolutely disastrous for Barsy, as they had nearly as many turnovers (7), as points (8). Meanwhile, Ogre lit it up and enhanced their lead to 17 before the break.
The margin kept on slowly growing in the third quarter, but it was the array of three-pointers to start the final period that sent Barsy to a knock-out.
Barsy were hot from behind the arc, nailing 16 long-range shots. Leading the way scoring-wise, was Marcis Vitols, who had 18 points and 6 assists. Rihards Zebergs added 17 points to the tally, while Janis Poznaks and Rinalds Sirsnins ended up with 12.
John Taylor was a force on offense for Barsy. The American was allowed to shoot at will and ended up putting up 17 shots from the floor, adding it up to 27 points. Both Pavel Ilin and Da'Quan Cook had 10 points, while the latter added another 10 rebounds to the tally.
