The first quarter was very close, as both teams managed to make good plays and never looked to let loose.
Nevertheless, it took just a quarter for Ogre to assert themselves, as the second period seemed to be the breaking point of the game. The visitors increased their lead to double digits and enjoyed a 12 point lead at halftime following a great overall display.
Ogre Kumho/Tyre started the third quarter just as well, running their lead up to 19. Nonetheless, TTU had other plans, as they got off to a 15-4 run of their own and managed to trim the deficit to just 7 before the quarter ended.
But then came Apsitis… The forward scored 8 of his 14 points in the final quarter to push his team to victory, as the visitors celebrated for the third time in a row.
Marcis Vitols was the leading scorer with 15 points for Ogre, while Apsitis added 14 points and another 14 rebounds. Gints Antrops also chipped in with 14, while Rihards Zebergs came off the bench to add 12.
Joonas Jarvelainen once again put on a great display, scoring 22 points, while Toomas Raadik added 14 points and 9 rebounds. Nikola Vujovic ended the game with 11 point and as many rebounds, while Sander Saare finished with 10 points.
