Pieno Zvaigzdes blow past Tarvas

PASVALYS – Pieno Zvaigzdes had no trouble keeping their loss column clean in the game against Tarvas, as they jumped to the top of the standings in Group B with an 81-54 victory over the visiting Estonians. They have now improved to 4-0, whilst Tarvas have yet to win a single game and hold a record of 0-4.

Tarvas stood no chance from the minute they got on the court, as Pieno Zvaigzdes immediately ran their lead up. It was already a double digit game after the ten opening mintues, and that meant Tarvas‘ woes had just started.

The second quarter was even more lopsided, as the Pasvalys side outscored their opponents by 16 and pushed the lead to 26 before halftime. The margin expanded to 29 before the final quarter and it was clear that all had been said and done already.

Pieno Zvaigzdes were led by a solid perfomance from Andriy Agafonov, who scored 15 points. Dennis Balentine added 13 to the tally, while Steponas Babrauskas ended the game with 11.

Justin Baker was the lone player in double digits for Tarvas, as he had 16 points. Timo Eichfuss and Sten Saaremael both chipped in with 8 points.
