Pieno Zvaigzdes take care of Caspiy

PASVALYS ‒ Pieno Zvaigzdes registered a huge 41-point win against Caspiy, defeating the visitors from Kazakhstan 87-46 at home in Lithuania on Thursday evening.

The side from Pasvalys kept a clean record and improved to a 9-0 mark, remaining the only unbeaten team in the competition.


Pieno Zvaigzdes led from start to finish, pulling away very early in the first quarter and taking a 14-2 lead already five minutes into the game.

The situation only got worse for Caspiy as the game progressed, with the gap between the teams reaching as many as 44 points in the fourth period.

Egidijus Dimsa continued a strong season with an 18-point effort, while Ingus Bankevics was the only other Pieno Zvaigzdes player in double digits with 10 points.

Sergy Kaznatsev was the leading scorer for Caspiy with 12 points and a game-high eight rebounds, while Kris Richard added nine points, four rebounds and three assists.
