Rock started the game extremely well, taking an early 17-6 lead in the first quarter and holding on to a double-digit lead in the first half, finishing the second period with a 37-27 edge.
However, Barons began the second half with a 12-5 run to make it a one-possession game at 39-42, but it was as close as the Latvian team managed to get throughout the rest of the game.
Neither side shot the ball well, with Barons making only 34% of field goal attempts and 50% of free throws, while Rock converted 38% of field goals and 52% of free throws.
Janar Talts, Timo Eichfuss, Vincent Simpson and Uros Lukovic – finished the game with 10 points each for Rock, with Eichfuss and Talts adding 10 and 9 rebounds respectively.
For Barons, Agnis Cavars had 18 points and 7 rebounds, while Karlis Apsitis chipped in with 16 points and 6 boards, while no other player scored more than eight points.
