Triobet BBL player of the week - Davis Rozitis

The second week's games of the new Triobet Baltic Basketball league season are finished. The Player of the Week honors, which are given for the best individual performance on a winning team, go to Liepāja/Triobet starting forward Davis Rozitis this time around.

 

Rozitis helped his team to its first victory of the season by scoring 20 points against Jūrmala/Fēnikss. He missed only three shots from the field and also collected seven rebounds. Rozitis also had significant impact getting his teammates involved, as he dished out six assists, and his contribution helped team to be extra effective from perimeter – Liepaja hit 11 from 20 three point shots. Rozitis performance was valued with an efficiency rating of 27, and that was the highest efficiency from this week's five games.

Derrick Low was very close to Rozitis' accomplishment, as the Pieno zvaigzdes guard helped his team beat Jekabpils in a close ending (76:72) by scoring 16 points and collecting eight assists. Low amassed an efficiency rating of 26.

Last week Player of the Week honors were taken by AVIS Rapla center Thomas van der Mars and this time, it was his teammate Indrek Kajupank making the top three. Kajupank scored 18 points and gathered nine rebounds, while AVIS Rapla didn't leave any hopes for visiting Port of Parnu (85:67).
