TTU take Tallinn darby

TALLINN – The Tallinn derby ended in a blowout victory for the home side TTU. They led throughout the whole game and manhandled TLU Kalev 88-68 (19-14; 23-17; 25-13; 21-24).


TTU now hold a record of 3-6, while TLU Kalev suffered their seventh straight loss and are dead last in the group with 1 win in 11 games.

While the game started off close, as midway through the first quarter the two teams were separated by merely five points. However, that is when TTU started rolling. They managed to gain a double-digit lead before halftime and everything went easily from there.

A 14-0 run early in the third quarter gave the home side a 24 point lead. There was no way TLU could manage a comeback and 19 points was as close as they got. TTU coasted to the finish line and celebrated their third victory.

Kiur Akenparg led the victors with 22 points. Joonas Jarvelainen contributed 19, while Mooses Kaja was responsible for another 13. Jaan Puidet was strong amongst the boards with 8 points and 10 rebounds.

Robertas Grabauskas once again led TLU in scoring with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Thomas Droney added 17, while Raido Roos ended the game with 11.
