Tyco Rapla started the game with an impressive 20-5 stretch behind the shooting of Sven Kaldre and Rait-Riivo Laane, but the visitors finished the opening quarter with an 8-0 run of their own to cut the deficit to seven points.
However, Rapla regained a double-digit lead midway through the second period, as Martin Dorbek and Kaldre dropped a three-point bomb each to send the hosts ahead 33-21.
Despite falling behind once again, Tarvas did not panic and made it a six-point game at halftime, with 7-0 stretch to end the half.
Having finished the second quarter red-hot, the Rakvere club carried over the momentum to the second half, with Giedrius Gustas and Rait Keerles sending the guests in front 45-44 after scoring another seven points without an answer.
It didn’t take long for Tyco Rapla to jump back in front though, as they finished the third quarter with a 58-55 advantage.
In a rather close final quarter, Tarvas had cut the deficit to a single point (66-67) with a pair of free-throws by Silver Leppik, but it was as close as the visitors managed to get.
Kaldre, however, went on to hit his sixth three-pointer of the evening, to put Tyco Rapla clear, bringing his total tally to a team-high 20 points.
Martin Paasoja collected 19 points, while Rait-Riivo Laane and Martin Dorbek chipped in with 13 points apiece.
For Tarvas, Rait Keerles finished with a big double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds, Juris Umbrasko scored 11 and grabbed nine boards, while Giedrius Gustas added 10 points.
