The Estonians managed to get off on the right foot, running off to a nice early lead. They had their shots falling and were up by a dozen after the initial ten minutes of basketball.
TLU put the game to bed earlier than one would imagine, as they were absolutely unstoppable in the second quarter, winning it 30-11 and sailing away by 33 points just halfway through the game.
It is quite obvious that Valmiera/ORDO was unable to recover from a beating of this sort and ended up suffering a humiliating defeat.
Dorde Dzeletovic was the leading scorer for TLU, scoring 16 points. Bamba Fall added 14 points, while Bambale Osby had a spectacular performance under the boards. In just 18 minutes of basketball Osby managed to put up 12 points and 15 rebounds and ended up with an efficiency rating of 27. Janis Vahter and Martin Jurtom finished the game with 11 points apiece, while Kiur Akenparg ended up with 10.
Viktors Iljins was the only player in double-digits for the Valmiera side, as he dropped 12 points and added 10 rebounds to the tally. Eduards Hazners chipped in with 9 points.
