After a relatively even opening quarter, the hosts started pulling away in the second period. After a 7-0 run, Valmiera/ORDO had opened up a double digit gap already in the first half. Although Nevezis did scale it down to 38-31 by the time for the halftime interval, the hosts were very much in control of the game.
The margin continued its consistent growth after the break as well, with Valmiera/ORDO finishing the third quarter up 58-48 before sealing in the win in the fourth, with Nevezis not causing any troubles.
Martins Laksa was the top scorer for the winners with 17 points and five rebounds, Ervins Jonats collected 12 points and eight rebounds, while Haralds Karlis finished the game with 11 points and four steals.
Meanwhile, big man Mindaugas Kupsas had a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds for Nevezis. Taylor King was the only other player in double figures for the Lithuanian club with 11 points and eight rebounds.
